Checklist For Using PLR To Create Your Own Unique Product

My GOODNESS, I love PLR! Whoever invested the concept of licencing is a genius and I want to shake his hand. (or hers).

To tell the truth, I’m one of the laziest marketers you may ever meet. That isn’t to say that I don’t do anything. I do actually get a lot done – but I’m lazy. I like to work smarter and not harder.

That’s one of the major reasons why I love buying products with PLR. If you’re unfamiliar with PLR – it stands for ‘Private Label rights’. Meaning that if you own the PLR, you have the permission to completely brand and sell the products as your own.

So in short, PLR = instant product.

Plr is a massive shortcut to product creation. The product is already created, you can simply re-name it, call it yours and sell the crap out of it. Perfect for lazy marketers like me.

Business is a numbers game. The more products you can have out there in the market place, the more income and customers you can attract. By using PLR, you can simply get more products out faster.

I use plr quite extensively for a lot of my products I sell and content I give away (this article however is written by yours truly), simply because I can create more products and sell more in a shorter time. I like product creation, but I much prefer selling!

3-sell-more-ebooks

My business seriously would NOT be around today if it wasn’t for good quality PLR products. I find PLR products from a bunch of sources. I find them in the WF WSO section through to receiving emails from plr vendors.

Once you buy one plr product, you can usually find a lot of different plr offers because the marketers and product creators like to promote each others offers.

So I love to check out all kinds of plr offers. I have a problem though. And I know others have the same problem too.

That is, I buy too much PLR. We always have the intention to modify it and sell it asap but when life and other things in business get in the way, the products seem to pile up.

I have to manage my time so I can set up the PLR and get the product out the door, so I can turn it into some cash instead of leaving it doing nothing on my hard-drive.

Here’s my simplified cheat-sheet for setting up plr products and selling it fast…

1. The product MUST be high-quality. No matter if you’re giving it away or selling it. You just can’t be flogging junk products. Of course you can and should edit and re-write any part you want to make the product as best as you can. It’s just a huge time-saver to start with quality plr.

2. The product MUST be in demand. It’s no good to sell something that people just don’t want.

3. Re-write the sales letter. I re-write sales letters myself as I know a thing or two about copywriting. If you can’t or just don’t have time, hire a copywriter. Most PLR products come with lousy sales letters that just don’t convert. A good sales letter is essential.

4. A new product graphic. Screw getting a whole new minisite design. You can splash out and get a slick new design from top to tail but you don’t need one. You can get away with a Fiverr gig for a new ecover.

5. Add bonuses to your front end offer. This is a given but bonuses increase sales like crazy. I use PLR products for bonuses too.

6. Add Upsells and Downsells to your funnel. Your upsells/downsells have to be related and provide extra on what you’re selling on the front end. A well thought-out funnel can double or triple your revenue.

7. Set it up on a shopping cart system that is easy to use. I use Zaxaa now almost exclusively after trying several different solutions. You can simply just use a plain-Jane Paypal button to take payments and deliver your download to your customer.

8. Keep pumping out products! This really is the key to building your business. The more order buttons you have out here in cyber space, the more chances you have of making sales. I keep my sniffer out for new PLR and resell rights products that I can set up or add to my funnels.

Using PLR really is the lazy man’s online business. Like I mentioned in the beginning of the article, I love PLR because the products are already done, meaning I can get more products out faster. For step-by-step details on how to set up and sell your PLR products fast like I do, I recommend the PLR Paydirt video training course.

So what are you waiting for? Use these steps to start pumping out and selling more products fast, the lazy way using your Plr!

Valuable Lessons From A WSO Product Launch

March 14 saw the launch of DFY Riches – a “Done For You” niche marketing website service by myself and Mark Wallace from the UK.

We released it on the Warrior Forum as a WSO to test our website (members area/member management system) and to gauge interest.

dfyriches-smlAnd a test it was! I’ve launched a handful of WSOs in the past but this has to be the biggest (by scope of work and technicality involved) I’ve ever been involved in.

Let me share a few ‘insights’ from our DFY riches launch that might help you avoid a “near disaster” like ours almost was (if it hadn’t been for a few key things which I reveal below)….

1. No matter how long you have to prepare and get everything finished, it’ll still be a last minute rush!

We were working on DFY riches for the more than 3 months!

But we were literally down to the wire when it came launch day.

(our order buttons and sales funnel wasn’t even working properly until 15 minutes before launch to be precise! more on that below..)

To be completely honest, not everything was 100% finished when we launched..

the members area was not complete – some download links didn’t even work….

even part of the Special offer (OTO) wasn’t ready for customers yet!

Oh the shame!

So even after launching we were hustling to get everything finished..

(hint: make sure you have nothing planned for the next day after launching.. unless you like 4am sleep time)

2. Keep things as simple as possible! (unless you like frying your brain)

With our DFY riches launch, we had 3 front end offers and 1 upsell and 1 downsell.

We used Wishlist member plugin with WordPress and ran it through JVzoo (and their ‘funnels’ system) … good if you’ve had experience working at NASA..but not good for a dumb Aussie like me.

Our funnel seemed simple enough at first, but when trying to create a membership site to make sure everyone gets put in their correct membership level.. you could compare it to navigating a rats nest in the dark!

If you’re starting out and want to launch a product..keep it simple.

Have 1 front end offer and 1 upsell.. unless you want more grey hairs than you have now!

3. Get as much help as you can. i.e. ask friends, support and outsource!

We couldn’t have pulled the launch off in time if we didn’t have the help of JVzoo staff and some other technical buddies of ours. I owe them all a few rounds of beers!

But now that we’ve got the customers in and working on their sites (yours if you bought) we’ve been working with outsource staff to get the work done.

Thank goodness for IM buddies with connections,Skype and Elance!

Build your network of biz buddies far and wide because you never know when or who you will need help from in the future.

Hope these little WSO launch insights help – and if you’re planning a WSO or other launch and plan to use Wishlist or JVzoo, hit me up if you need help.

I think I’m an expert in them now so I can give you pointers! lol

6 Ideas For Easy And Instant Products

Every big time marketer will tell you that product creation and marketing is really where it’s at if you want to make it big in your niche online.

A product of your own gives you credibility, authority and will become a core piece of your business you can use to get customers, leads and form JV partnerships.

I have created a handful of digital products in my online career, but I recently have been thinking that I should be making more!

Digital products are the best kind because you do the work just once and it can be downloaded over and over again. Plus deliver can be automated so it’s really a set and forget business. The perfect kind for living the internet lifestyle!

This is my excuse… but the reason I find it hard to create more products is not because I don’t know how or are lacking ideas.. but believe it or not, I have too many ideas it’s hard to pick one and run with it.

I also have a slight case of the tendency to “over-think” things.. and that leads to procrastination. That’s my weakness and I admit it. I am not perfect – no-one is! Not even the big gurus!

So back to this article about product ideas, let me unload a few of my ideas on to you.. who knows, maybe one of these could be a ‘million-dollar idea’ for you!

1. Interview An Expert(s), Or Have Someone Interview You

First of all, this is easy and quick and it turns you into an authority by association. Record the interview and sell the product as an MP3. You can use Skype and any of the Skype recording apps available. Audio interviews make cheap, quick and high value products!

2. Ask Experts To Contribute A Chapter Of An Ebook

Again, little work on your part and you get the authority by association. Your job is to approach and collect this content from marketing experts in your niche. This kind of product helps everyone involved because they are all getting exposure.

3. Short “How-to” PDF Report

PDF reports can be short 10 – 20 pages. Give 1 solution to 1 problem that people are desperate to fix. If you hate writing, you can always outsource, or you can talk into a microphone and do voice to text.

4. Screen Capture Video

Like the short report, explain and show how to solve a problem by showing how to do it on your computer screen with voice. Video products have high perceived value so your customers will love you. Here is a free screen capture software called Jing Project.

5. Create and Sell PLR

PLR is always hot. You can sell PLR to articles, reports, videos, audios, graphics, templates, software, scripts… just about anything digital, if you created it, you can sell it with PLR.

6. Team Up With Someone Who Already Has A Product…But Isn’t Selling Well

There are a lot of product owners who have done the hard work but can’t get it to sell. Get in the circles in your niche to make friends and strike up deals. You can strike a deal and team up with another marketer to promote their product for a share of the fame and fortune.

Bonus Tip: If you’re stuck for ideas, check out the market to see what is already selling! You can’t totally rip off their product but you can get ideas to create your own.

I’ll admit product creation can be a pretty daunting task, especially you’ve never done one before but if you use the tips above and go through the steps of product creation, you can easily create your own hot selling products and build a stable internet business.
