What You Need To Know About Making Money Online

What You Need To Know About Making Money Online

A better title for this blog post would actually be “What you actually need to know about making money online VS. what ‘they’ want you to think you need to know.”

By ‘they’, I’m referring to the ‘pretend gurus’ who are trying to sell you their latest crappy product of the day, every day…

It’s astonishing that they can sell 1000s of copies of their rehashed content every single week that they’ve renamed and re-covered with fancy graphics.  (I’m pretty sure it’s the same 3000 people who buy it every time too.)

They want you to think that by buying their new course or ‘push button’ software that you’ll be able to live a lifestyle like them.. with the flash house, exotic holidays, etc.

The truth is that 90% of these guys are making their money launching products.. not by doing what they teach in the course… unless their course is about launching products.. which happens to be the case quite often.

Ok, enough ranting! Let’s get to the meat and potatoes.

The reality is.. if you want to be make money online, or attain your own “success”.. in whatever form that may be, here’s what you’ve got to do.

  1. Get an idea for a product or service for a crowd of people that need/want it.
  2. Plan out a way to launch your product or service.
  3. Create the product/set up your service.
  4. Launch it.
  5. Keep promoting it (i.e. marketing!)

What it boils down to is getting out of ‘student’ mode of buying and buying all the training courses and what not, and become a player in the game by producing and selling your own products!

Above I listed the very simplified 5 steps for launching a product or service online. That is what you actually need to do!

Of course, each step has many many detailed sub-steps pertaining to it.

Unfortunately, there are some people who can’t get past the 1st step – they either don’t have any ideas or have too many ideas and they can’t actually decide on one! You’ve got to make an executive decision and go with it!

Others struggle with the last step.. which is kind of where I struggle too!

After all the excitement of launching a product dies down.. it’s hard to get excited about continuing to promote it. It takes a lot of focus and drive. There are so many options for getting traffic.. it can be very overwhelming when deciding which ones to go with!

There are roadblocks and walls every. step. of. the. way.

We ALL struggle with them, no matter what level of experience we’re at.  It’s just a matter of expecting them and overcoming each obstacle as you come to it.

Try not to get bogged down.. and don’t give up when you hit an obstacle.

Find a way to get around it. It takes time and devotion (and money, for tools, materials etc.) to get the final product out and promotions continuing. If you are struggling, know that you’re not alone! Everyone faces problems and speed bumps.

Are you struggling with any of these steps?  If you are, which step are you struggling with?  Leave a comment down below and let me know.  Here are the steps again:

  1. Get an idea for a product or service for a crowd of people that need/want it.
  2. Plan out a way to launch your product or service.
  3. Create the product/set up your service.
  4. Launch it.
  5. Keep promoting it (i.e. marketing!)

I want to try to help you get over your problems/hurdles so you can get your product or project completed. Even if all I can share is a word of encouragement, that’s better than nothing.

The take away from this post is that success comes at a price. It is often ugly. It looks easy when you see all the fancy sales pages, but real success requires planning and work. The universe has a way of rewarding those who have dreams and work for it!
