If you’re noticing your email open-rates are dropping little by little over time, a reason may be a little because of your subject lines… and a little of something else.
It’s not that you’re a terrible writer, it’s just that the way people consume content is changing. Email is still awesome, but the fight for people’s attention in the inbox is getting harder.
Even for the best wordcrafter, it can be a challenge to come up with an email subject line that sparks enough interest in your reader to get them to open your email.
Well, here’s what I’ve found.
There is a way to get your open rates back up without the need to become a master wordsmith, or hire one. It’s actually much simpler than you think.
While everyone is racking their brains, taking 5 minutes or more to come up with the most creative, clever and eye-grabbing subject line, I’ve found that the less you think about your email subject lines the better.
The suckier your subject line the better. (no, it’s not supposed to be a pun… I really mean sucky! as in terrible)
You still have to give it some thought, though. It has to be at least a little related to the content, or be able to be tied into the content and all that.
But the name of the game is to stick out – and by sticking out, you just need to do things differently to your competitors.
I’ve made a list of 31 email sucky subject lines that help you do just that – differentiate yourself from the competition.
You can download it for free using the link below.

p.s. Subject lines are very important – but there is actually more to picking up your email open rates (secret sauce), which I also explain what it is and how to get it in the ebook. Enjoy!
