How To Get (Free) Instant Website Traffic

If you’re unfamiliar with the term ‘list building’, it’s what us marketers call the process of collecting names and emails of potential customers and emailing them with offers.

The beauty of emailing  your list is that your subscribers will get your email, potentially open it, read it and click on a link to your website or website you recommend.

The result: Instant Traffic!

And you know what happens when you mix traffic with a good offer…yep, sales!

Seriously, in the same time it takes to make your favorite bowl of instant noodles, you can actually see sales flow into your inbox or paypal or whatever!

Hopefully now you see the power of having a list that you can email.

“But hang on Stuart, I don’t have a list…how can I get traffic quickly?”

Never fear! Emailing a list is not the only way to get traffic.

There are hundreds of ways to get traffic to a website…I’m sure you already know a few ways.

You can buy it, trade it or steal it 🙂 (More on those three another day.)

But where so many marketers go wrong is that they are in too much of a hurry to make a sale and forget about building a list first.

They waste traffic by sending visitors straight to a “pitch page” without capturing it first. i.e. not building a list.

A small percentage may buy on the spot (0.1% – 2%) but the remaining 99% of that traffic is gone forever.

Don’t make that mistake!

Build a list first, it may take a little time at first, but you’ll be able to get that INSTANT traffic and sales and more of it – whenever you want it!

List building and email marketing is nothing new.

But it’s still up there with one of the most effective, cheapest (can’t beat free!) and simplest ways to send traffic in an instant to any site to promote and sell anything online.

    Traffic Getting is part of an overall business plan for sure, but it takes for ever to realize that we have a business & need a plan & that “to list build or not to list build” are both very different traffic/business growth models!!

  4. It took me a long time to realise not only the importance … but long term value of building a list. I wished I’d listened to people like you several years ago because I’d have cut years of scraping sales and spinning my wheels.

    Now I’m actually seeing daily growth and progression – and it feels good!

  5. I have Stu’s turnkey cashkit up and running but I am not able to get traffics to it and built a list. I am currently struggling on that.

    It sounded very easy for many marketers to build their list and yet it felt so difficult when I am doing it.

  6. Luis – When you have a system with a professional autoresponder service like Aweber (the one I use), each subscriber is double optin, meaning they had to register then confirm, meaning they requested the info and agreed to receiving emails, so there is little worry about spam complaints.

    Malcolm – Good point. You need traffic first to send to your squeeze page and get them on your list. The lucky thing is that we can “borrow” existing lists (solo emails, ezine ads etc) and get them on to our list.

    Yes,,,That’s another great comment and words that ring true.

    You do need a list and then that is your traffic to Lead anywhere you want.
    But you also need Traffic..!!
    which comes first…??
    List or Traffic…!!

    Again a great comment and it is soooo true…

    As a beginner, I just made the mistake of sending traffic to the affiliate pages directly and also putting them into traffic exchanges, clicking myself almost to dead. All wrong!

    And very important to realise: on the affiliate page there is usually also a sign-up box. Guess from whom, the owner of the page. So as such an affiliate, I was building the list of others, not mine. I just wastet a lot of time and effort.

    My advice: use the affiliate material usually availabe, then make a squeeze page of your own to presell the product, create a small report or review and let your visitor sign up to YOUR list first to get it. In the report you then have the real affiliate links or more…
